Agave (uh·gaa·vei) Azul (ah·z·uu·l)
Blue agave is the base ingredient of tequila, its a plant from a specific cultivar of agave called 'Weber Azul' this cultivar is larger and blue-gray in color. All 100% blue agave tequila must be made from the 'Weber Azul' agave plant, grown and harvest only in certain Mexican states. Agave is an important economic product of Jalisco, Mexico.
